Short version: we don't collect your personal data. What you put in our apps stays on your phone.

What our apps store

Anything you enter in one of our apps is saved on your device. Some apps keep it in an App Group, a shared folder on your phone, so their widgets, Live Activities and Control Center buttons can read it too. We never get a copy. If you back up your phone to iCloud, it's in that backup, which Apple runs.

Back In's wear report, the PDF or CSV, is made on your phone. It only goes where you send it.

Smidge Pro lets you put a photo on a timer or a routine step. You pick it from your library or take it with the camera, and Smidge keeps a small copy in its own storage on your device. It never leaves your phone. Once no timer or step uses a photo anymore, Smidge deletes it the next time the app opens.

Feet First and your microphone

Feet First uses the microphone in two places: the wake-up call and the shower check. It listens only during those steps, and keeps listening if you switch to another app partway through one, so the step can finish.

The wake-up call listens to your answers with Apple's speech recognition, set to run on your iPhone only. If your phone can't understand your language offline, the call doesn't listen at all. It never falls back to sending your voice to a server. The replies from Morning, the voice on the call, come from Apple's on-device language model if your phone has Apple Intelligence, and from a short script if it doesn't. The voice you hear is your phone's built-in text to speech.

The shower check listens for running water with Apple's sound classifier, which also runs on your phone. It counts seconds of water and that's all. It doesn't pick up words.

Nothing is recorded or saved. What you say shows on screen during the call and is gone once your morning is done. No audio or text is uploaded, to us or anyone else. You can turn off the microphone and speech recognition any time in Settings, under Feet First.

Alarms and notifications

Feet First, Smidge and Back In set their alarms with AlarmKit, Apple's alarm system, so they ring even on silent. Some of our apps also send notifications. iOS schedules all of these on your phone. Nothing goes through a server of ours, because we don't have one.

What we don't do

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your name, card, or billing details. Apple tells us a purchase happened so the app can turn on what you paid for, and that's it.

Crash reports and usage stats

If you've agreed to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage numbers. These don't identify you. You can turn this off in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Email

If you email us for support, we keep that conversation so we can help you. We don't add you to a mailing list. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Kids

Our apps are made for adults. Smidge is a timer parents set for their kids to watch, and it collects nothing from anyone, kids included. We don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13.

Changes

If an app ever needs to collect something new, we'll update this page and the app's App Store listing before that happens.
